NASCAR racing is a fast and furious sport, with thrills and spills adding to the excitement. Race officials need to keep on top of the action, judging blame and apportioning penalties when incidents occur.
To help them, they capture the output of 18 trackside HD cameras, which are then available for instant replay by the race officials. They can check the incident from multiple angles, slowing the action down to be certain of what happened.

Streamlined workflows for cutting edge news
End user: Sky News Arabia
Technology partners: TSL, ScheduALL, Miranda Technologies, EVS and Broadcast Bionics
One of the biggest system integration projects undertaken in recent years supported the launch of Sky News Arabia in May of this year. While the infrastructure is firmly file-based with as much emphasis on connection to social media as to ingest, the centre itself still has to operate as a highly pressurised broadcast centre.
The build, by TSL, features some of the largest monitor walls ever constructed. It also called for special co-operation between technology partners to add functionality which allows the news centre to operate with remarkable efficiency.

Turner Sports Central is responsible for covering more than 6000 individual sporting events each year. With each one generating around 300 highlights, that adds up to a staggering two million clips and 27,000 hours of content to be tracked.
An in-house team developed the concept for a new asset management system, then brought together a large number of best of breed suppliers to deliver it.
